I am Ilse Roelandt, I work at the Internationalization department of the KU Leuven Ghent campus of the Faculty of Engineering Technology.

I’m  together with my husband since  25 years now and mother of two adult sons.  One is working since September 2023 and the youngest started his higher education studies with a good attitude and motivation.

It is fascinating to watch from a distance how they evolve in new phases in their lives and how we, the parents, also experience this. It is a matter of looking for a balance and looking for opportunities to fill the newly available time.

My commitment to helping colleagues with questions and problems remains unchanged. I will continue to work as I have done in recent years.
